Monday, Feb. 29

1.  Bridge entries and Scholastic orders- last day- Wednesday.
2.  Handwriting/Spelling assignments- due Tuesday.
3.  Behaviour stories- first draft in blacks- due friday.  Get ahead on Googledocs at home if you like, the way I outlined.
4.  School spirit songs- props/costumes, memorization- Friday.
5.  Math/SS tests- signed and returned by Tuesday.
6.  RCMP dog contest- entry due Thursday.

Friday, Feb. 26

1.  Math Measurement test- Monday- study!

2.  Take art home- do not leave in lockers. Submit what you like to young Artists bin.

3.  Bridges- Sunday at 10 AM. lates may not get in. Bring bridge if you have been working on one. I have sticks, glue, blue prints and boxes.

4.  School Spirit song- gather props and costumes. Perform next week on Wedneday, Thursday or Friday.

5. Scholastic orders due Monday.

Thursday, Feb. 25

1.  I will be waiting on Sunday at the front door of the school at 9:55 AM for any kids/parents who would like to finish, or START, their popsicle stick bridges.  We will build for a couple hours.  The actual contest is on Saturday, March 5th.  Kids should submit entry forms by tomorrow, Friday.  If by chance someone suddenly can't make the contest day, it might be possible to send it with a friend.  I have already sent out a booklet with criteria/times, etc..  Please refer to their website if your child has misplaced this.  We have about 25 students who hope to go.  We have about 10 who hope to show up Sunday.  I also have about 15 blue prints for those who need a starting point.  I have lots of sticks and glue now.  I have ordered clamps, but if you have any, please bring Sunday if you come.  Parents can guide and help 10-15%.  Thanks.

2.  SS Provinces/Capitals review test- Friday- Study- Spelling counts.

3.  Optional-work on School Spirit song- costumes?  We will perform next Friday.

4.  Math- Measurement test number 2- Monday- take textbook and my notes home to practice.  Anything in text we have done so far.

5.  Young Artists submissions are due to Mrs. A by March 25th.
6.  Young Authors submissions are due to Mrs. A by early April.

Tuesday, Feb. 22

1.  Math pages from today- 3 per grade- due Tuesday AM.
2.  Behaviour story- half first draft due - Tuesday AM.  Discuss possible endings and get ideas from your creative smart parents.
3.  Novel study test- Tuesday.  All students were told to bring home duotang and questions and novel.
4. Popsicle Bridge Contest at TRU March 6- info. given.  Entry form must be returned to Mrs. A by Friday, Monday latest.  She may open school this Sunday from 10 to 12, depending on interest, so please let your child know.  Mrs. A will probably have free sticks and glue if she can get them from the Dollar Store or Michaels tonight.  Some stores are sold out due to interest.  Kids interested will be given some class time to work on, but there is an expectation that kids spend some time at home on it if they choose to participate.

Thursday, Feb. 18

1.  Math conversions test- most students got 8 or 9 out of 9 today.  Great for first test on the concept! 
2.  Novel study test- Tuesday- study.
3.  French- Animals and clothing assignment, plus review color sheets- due Monday.  LOTS of time given in class all week.

Wednesday, Feb. 17

1.  French animals -4 to 8, plus 2 new sheets give today- all due Monday.
2.  Novel study- due Thursday.  Test is tuesday.
3.  Math conversions test- Thursday- study.
4.  Spelling test- Thurs. -study.
5.  Math extra group- sheet due Thursday.

Tuesday, Feb. 16

1.  Novel study-5th and 6th- due Thurs.
2.  Science skit plus props- ready to perform on Thurs.
3.  Spelling due Wed. AM, test Thurs.
4.  Extra Math group- one division page-due Thursday.
5.   Math- Metric system- conversions- study cheat sheet in agenda.
6.  French animal/clothing assignment- 4 or 8, choice for desired letter grade- due Monday.
