Tuesday, April 12
1. Grammar test- Thursday.
2. Math pages from today- due Wednesday.
3. Spelling - due Thursday.
4. Handwriting- due Wednesday.
5. Optional- many projects on the go; can do some at home if you like but cannot take textbooks home as we share with 2 other classes. Students are given lots of time in class before a project is due; but, working at home a little can help get the student ahead or help avoid rushing in class.
6. Provinces and Capitals test- pls sign and return. I did not count Spelling this time. Most students scored 17 or 18 out of 18! Yahoo!
7. WE will start using our costumes for dress rehearsal Wednesday. If you still have not sent costume in, just try to get it whenever possible. Please send a note by parent if student will not be able to make one or both night performances. April 20 and 21st, students must be here from 6:40 until it's over, but since we are first up and we have a 2 minute song, even if you can send your child from 6:40 to 7:15, this would be very helpful. Thanks.

Tuesday, April 5
1. Welcome back. I hope you all enjoyed famiy time!
2. Welcome to a new student, Ava, who is in grade 5 in our class.
3. We are now in full swing of practising our Spring production pirate song, Pieces of Eight. I am hoping that students will bring a bag labelled with their name. The bag should include some sort of pirate costume. Beg and borrow, but try not to spend money; try to have the things we discussed in class. Nothing has to be perfect. Thanks. I believe the nights are April 20 and 21. Mrs. Oryshack, the production manager, expects that students will make every attempt to make it to our performances. If you have soccer or dance, etc., please try to make arrangements to be able to come to our performance. If a student cannot make it, we expect a letter from a parent to let us know. This way, if we have paired up dancers and have certain orders, we can alter that beforehand. Thanks.
4. Paragraph- due Thursday. Please recall that if possible, parents can help edit and help with spelling, punctuation and grammar. Please do not change the ideas.
5. Handwriting- due Wednesday.
6. Division practice drill- due Wednesday.
7. Spelling- unit 20- due Friday.
8. Underground to Canada- kids had 3 weeks prior to Spring Break to read the novel. They now have 1 more week to finish the book.
