1.  Book Fair money?
2.  Presents/gifts- Wow...thanks to all who have donated!  Our class has collected the most, and I am proud that the students took the time to remember...to help those more needy.  Donations will be collected tomorrow if there are any people who still want to send anything in.
3. Math- pg 97- do not estimate!  #1-30 if possible. Most are done, but some are coming home with lots of questions. If parents have time and can work with their child, please do. If not, I shall try to work one to one with them during silent reading and Math.
4. Math long division on easiest type...like pg 97.  Study for Friday's small quiz.
5.  Usual spelling test- Unit 8- study from your agenda or cue card.

Socials: Choose a Canadian hero or icon to research.  You do not have to do  any research, just figure out whom you want to study about.

Science: Finish Chapter 5.5 & 5.6 sheet.  Chapter 5 Test next Wednesday

1.  Torture poem-first draft due Wednesday, Nov. 28-most done.
2.  Math, pg. 95- 1-15 or more if possible- due Wednesday, Nov. 28-most done.
3.  Food/presents- optional.
4.  Chapter 3 SS- test- study!!   Wednesday, Nov. 28.  I told kids to take text and books home to study.

60% of the class now understands long division well. 30% of the class is starting to get it and should be on their way with one more 1.5 hour lesson and activities.  10% of the class is "lost", due to absences or NOT knowing their multiplication tables.
Whatever extra reinforcement anyone can provide at home, especially for students who have been absent or have not memorized multiplication tables, is a real benefit. It will make Math a lot easier, more pleasant and motivating!

5. Rats of Nimh test- Thursday- we will discuss and study in class, then at home.
6.  Poetry- Shape poem  and Limericks should be typed or hand printed neatly and accompanied by pictures and color- optional this weekend- due next week sometime.  More time in class.

8.  PLEASE STUDY MULTIPLICATION!!!  IT IS SUPER IMPORTANT THAT PARENTS BE TAKING 10 MINUTES EACH DAY TO ORALLY ASK STUDENTS THEIR SKILLS.  MANY STUDENTS HAVE SURPRISINGLY NOT MEMORIZED THEIR MULTIPLICATION TABLES YET.  THIS IS NOW AFFECTING THE MORE COMPLICATED MULTIPLICATION WE ARE DOING NOW!  HELP!!  BY THE END OF NOVEMBER, ALL STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO HAVE MEMORIZED ALL TABLES FOR QUICK RESPONSE(EXCEPT IF ON AN IEP).  Thank you for helping your child. This is a "make or break" situation for many kids in Math. Let's help make all Math easier for them.
