1. Choose a 150-300 page novel appropriate for your level of reading. Be prepared to do a novel study project on this novel starting Tuesday. Your book must have a plot and must be approved by me. Bring to school Tuesday to make sure it is OK. And to read it.
2. Math test: next Thursday- graphs and tables.
3. Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation contest. Boys versus girls in our class to fill the sneakers(JDRF's symbol) with coins. We will be collecting for 2 weeks, starting Tuesday. We will also be learning a little about diabetes(and other diseases). There will be draw prizes for everyone, whether you bring change or not. Thanks!

6. Optional- Egg doodles- contest ends Thursday.
7. Third Term novel study book- choose one and get it OKed by teacher on Thursday- bring it for her to see!

Kids, remember that I will expect you to be editing your writing more in all subjects in order to attain a high grade in third term. You should not be making the same mistakes we have reviewed many times. Thanks for your efforts! Thanks to parents if you ever have time to read over your child's work and give a little feedback (not a lot!).

2. Autobiography to add to Children's story- first draft due: Tuesday AM.
3. Doodles art due: Thursday. Often, kids will not bring art home as they may have to do it at lunch in order to have space and materials.

1. Heart and stroke money/forms if participating- Due Friday latest. All will skip.
2. Blue fractions sheet- at least 15 or more due Thursday.
3. Children's Story- all colored, outlined, finished- try for Friday, but you may have until day after Spring Break ends.
4. Congrats to: Nadine, Ethan, Daniel and Sadie- their art was chosen from the whole school to go to Young Artists Contest at TRU. Get your papers from me Thursday and hand in Friday! Yahoo!!!

3. Math quiz- fractions, ratios, decimals, percents and how to convert all of them. Bring home text book and workbook to look over- Friday
4. Special Friday- Some kids will show the class how to do something, and explain it clearly. Students have no more than 5 minutes for their turn.

2, This Friday, the special is a "How to..." day. Students must prepare to teach the others how to do something (do a special soccer move, do a karate move or 2, do some artistic skill, bake something, etc). If they do not do it this Friday, they will have to do it the last Friday before Spring Break. They need to bring whatever is required to school Friday.
3. Handwriting- letter q, Q due Tuesday.
4. Paragraph- due Tuesday.
5. Students should have at least 6 pages of their behaviour stories done by now. If not, they should work at night or lunch hour or free time when they are done their work in class. Others can help with illustrations as long as they are credited on front of story.
